Review Summary:

As a domestic dehumidifier, the Meaco DD8L is a really nice product. This machine is compact for fitting in smaller homes, but it can also work well in areas of up to five bedrooms. It comes with a nice range of options and settings to serve the needs of a range of different consumers and it is very easy to use. For reliable performance and user-friendly operation, this model is a great value.

If you are looking for a nice, compact dehumidifier that offers a good level of versatility, then the u is a product worth looking into. This is a desiccant dehumidifier, so there are no coolants and no compressor. That means that this machine runs quiet and it is also better for the environment. Along with that, this model comes with a range of features that help to improve efficiency and provide better results.

The DD8L can deliver up to 8L of extraction in a single day and it can be good for homes ranging from 1-5 bedrooms. It also has a built-in humidistat and controls that allow the user to choose different levels of humidity. The user can choose from maximum, normal and minimum depending on their needs. The machine will run until it reaches the preset level of humidity and then shut down. After that, it will cycle on and off as needed.

In addition to that, you also get different fan speeds, a laundry mode and a timer. The laundry mode will help to speed the drying of laundry and the timer offers runtimes of 1-hour, 2-hours, 4-hours and 8-hours. The one trick with the laundry mode is that it will only be effective if the laundry and the machine are closed off in a room together.

The consumer also gets antibacterial filtration and an optional ionizer function with the DD8L. This means that the air from the machine is cleaner and less likely to contain particulate contamination. The ionizer can be turned on and off as you choose and the filter is washable. The filter is easy to remove and it can be cleaned quickly by using a vacuum.

For water removal, the machine offers two options. You can allow the water to collect in the 2L reservoir and empty the machine manually or you can use the option of installing the drainage line for continuous draining. For manual water emptying, the machine does have a full indicator light and it will automatically stop to prevent overflow. The user can simply remove the tank, empty it and once the reservoir is replaced, the machine will resume operation. For continuous draining, this model comes with a hose and it has an easy to use port for installing the line.

This model is highly effective at preventing mould in the home and condensation on the windows and it is fairly easy to set-up and get going. The controls are straightforward and easy to understand and it requires a little basic maintenance to keep it running well. Meaco also backs the DD8L with a 2-year limited warranty.
