Review Summary:

This is a powerful desiccant dehumidifier that can even be effective in large homes. It has a nice range of features and settings that can make it good for keeping indoor moisture low and it also has additional features like laundry mode and the timer function. The electronic controls make it easy to operate and it only requires a minimal level of care to keep it running well.

With the EcoAir DD322 Classic dehumidifier, the consumer gets a machine that delivers a good level of extraction and some nice automated features for ease of use. This machine offers desiccant moisture extraction, so here is no noisy compressor to deal with and it has a range of features and functions that can make it great for homes in the mid to large range.

With up to 10L of extraction per day, the DD322 Classic can be good for homes of up to six bedrooms. This machine comes with two regular settings for economy and high and it also has an auto setting to provide a balance between the two. With the auto mode, the machine uses sensors to detect conditions like temperature and relative humidity. Based on these conditions, it manages the operation to provide a combination of comfort and efficient operation.

Along with the two primary settings and the auto setting, this machine also has two laundry modes, a timer and an automatic air-swing with three settings. The laundry modes are quick dry and speed dry. The one thing about the laundry modes is that they do consume more electricity than the standard settings and you should not use the laundry feature for regular use.

This model comes with a large 3.5L water tank and it is fairly easy to empty. The machine has an indicator light to let the user know when it needs to be emptied and it automatically shuts down to prevent the possibility of overflow. The reservoir slides out and it comes with a handle to make it easier to carry. Once the tank is back in place, the machine will automatically continue operation. This dehumidifier also comes with the necessary provisions for continuous draining.

Being a desiccant dehumidifier, this model can also work well at low temperatures. The recommended operating temperatures are between 1 and 40-degrees. That means that it is good for just about any situation and, unlike compressor models, it can work well in the cold.

For the build quality, this machine seems to be very well made and it is also easy to set-up and easy to care for. The filter will need to be cleaned about every two weeks of use, but all you have to do is slide it out of the machine and use a vacuum to remove any dirt and dust that may have accumulated. EcoAir does provide a 2-year warranty, but you should follow the basic care guidelines to ensure a long operating life.
